Joy of Movement Classes ~
We are a a friendly group of ladies of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities and our sessions are gently guided, low impact, easy to follow and great for beginners.
Breathe, stretch, move, dance and deeply relax with a guided mindfulness meditation to finish. We especially welcome beginners as there is no right or wrong way in Joy of Movement.
Gentle Mindful Movement Classes -
A restorative, balancing and contemplative movement class focussing on body sensation, breath, balance and an overall sense of well being set to beautiful, inspiring and calm music.
This is a group for women and men of all ages and abilities who would like to get in tune with their bodies in a gentle, mindful and holistic way. Our classes are perfect for those who want to fully engage with the senses and body movement in a simple, fresh and easeful way without high impact or aerobic output.
You will leave feeling refreshed, balanced and peaceful.
These classes are a real mood lifter and our group is warm, friendly, welcoming and inclusive.
Stella brings a warm and friendly atmosphere to her classes and has over 20 years experience in the many fields of dance and somatic movement.
Since training at the Bird College of Performing Arts, the Royal Northern Ballet school and graduating as a Blue Belt in the Nia Technique, she began immersing herself in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Mindful Movement and Meditation and has synthesised these varied holistic practises with her love of dance and movement to create a truly unique, and uplifting experience suitable for all levels of health and ranges of abilities.

Joy of Movement combines simple, flowing and easy to follow dance and mindful movement for women of all ages, fitness levels and experience. We encourage a sensory-based holistic approach with a focus on body sensation and feeling good rather than cardio fitness, though we do get fit in the process. Enjoy a time of breathing, stretching and non-impact joyful movement to a variety of uplifting and inspiring music. Participants are guided to follow their own energy levels and all classes end with mindful breathing and a meditative reflection / relaxation time.
Gentle Mindful Movement ( *special taster classes on Tuesday 11th and 18th December, 2018 @11am-12pm)
This is a restorative, balancing and contemplative movement class focussing on body sensation, breath, balance and an overall sense of well being set to beautiful, inspiring and calm music. Please arrive no earlier than 10.50a.m and wear something you feel comfortable moving in.
We encourage barefoot movement but this is not essential.

Cliffe Hall has free parking outside on the forecourt for 5 - 6 cars or there's plenty of parking space nearby in two local car parks within 1-2 mins walk away. We are 5 mins from the bus station and 10 mins from the train station.
